Who can use the repository and how much does it cost?

The DARIAH-DE repository can be used by all researcher of humanities and cultural sciences. The use is free, you just need to have an instutional Account or an DARIAH account. If you intend to publish more than 100 GB we ask you to contact us under

Where is my data stored?

Your data is saved on the DARIAH-DE Storage. The storage is operated by the Humanities Data Centre in Göttingen.

First you will upload your data via the  Publikator into the "DARIAH-De OwnStorage". Only you will have access to this area. During the publishing process (which you need to start) your data will be copied to the DARIAH-DE PublicStorage. The PublicStorage is world wide accessible and the data can't be deleted. After the publish process you may want to remove the collection from the OwnStorage. The data is still available via the PublicStorage.

How long will my files be saved?

The Humanities Data Centre guranties the storage for 10 years after publishing the data.

Can I delete my data?

After you have published your data you can't delete your data.

What is the Publikator?

The Publikator is a web interface for uploading and publishing you data into the DARIAH-DE repository. Please have a look and the FAQ for the Publikator and the documentation.
